The Chemistry of Life

Priceless and impossible to duplicate

Article contributed by Dr. Eric Plasker, Marietta, GA

From the moment you were conceived, every single thing that you have done has been dependant on your body chemistry. Your body relies on chemicals to wake up, fall asleep, laugh, cry, remember, digest food, contract muscles, heal itself and even think. When even one of these thousands of chemicals is absent, or present in an improper amount, or released at the wrong time, your body function suffers.

The chemical activity of the body is what modern medicine and drug companies try to imitate. By substituting chemicals found in food or pills for the naturally occurring ones in your body, they are able to trick the body into working the way that they think it should. This is why some people ingest caffeine in the morning and take sleeping pills at night. The one drawback to this philosophy is that it is impossible to fool Mother Nature.

Your body has within it an intelligence that is incomprehensible. It knows everything about the hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions that happen every second of every day, at precise times, in minute quantities and in different combinations. Science and all the money in the world cannot duplicate the intelligence in your body.

What if one tried to put a price on the human body? According to a survey in the August 2003 edition of Wired magazine, you could collect over $45 million dollars if you sold every usable part of your body, given our current knowledge of biology and medicine. Even an overweight, out-of-shape body could fetch millions if broken down into fluids, tissues, organs and antibodies.

Surprisingly, vital organs are no longer the most valu-able parts. Instead, bone marrow is thought to be worth $23 million, DNA is worth $10 million and anti-bodies are worth $7 million. By comparison, lungs, kidneys and hearts are worth less than $120,000 each. In any case, this $45 million price tag doesn’t include the thousands of body chemicals whose functions we don’t yet fully understand or which cannot yet be extracted. It also excludes the value of our innate intelligence.

So what is the alternative to modern medicine? Look inside. Your body already knows how to run itself perfectly. Your inborn intelligence uses the nerve system to get information to every cell. Nerve communication affects every aspect of your life, not just your health. It controls the way you think, feel, act, remember and move. Your performance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is dependent on precise, timely communication between your brain and body through the nerve system.

When the nerve system is interfered with, your brain cannot convey its vast intelligence to the cells of your body. As a result, the chemical and electrical processes of life become dysfunctional. Chiropractic adjustments remove nerve interference, enabling your nerve system to operate at its full potential, so your body can make, deliver and use the chemicals it needs to thrive.
